**Job description**:
The Groundskeeper and Janitorial Staff will be responsible for all groundskeeping duties such as power washing, gardening, painting, weed whipping and much more. Janitorial duties will include supporting Animal Care and in day-to-day duties such as maintaining exhibits, vacuuming pools, power washing walls and barns. Maintaining the cleanliness of the whole park is large part of this role. At times this position will assist with event set up and tear down to increase efficiency in coordination and execution of duties. Health and safety are a priority.

Job Duties
- Maintain the grounds of the park by performing all operations duties related to the park aesthetics
- Ensure safety in the grounds and all areas of the park to ensure safe guest experiences
- Clean up all debris on the ground in all areas of the park to maintain a clean aesthetic
- Weed whip all enclosures to maintain aesthetics
- Keep a detailed eye out for repairs on the grounds for picnic tables, benches and fences
- Assist with regular washing and maintenance of machines used by all departments
- General maintenance of exhibits, working along side a senior Animal Care staff
- Power wash exhibits and barns when required to maintain a clean looking park
- Knowledge of minor repairs electrical and plumbing
- Hang signage and repair minor carpentry items
- Mop floors and maintain the washrooms in Animal Care building
- Planting and watering of planters
- Assist with food prep when needed
- Wash windows and screens
- PM on freezers/fridges/furnaces
- Mulching and weeding of gardens in the park
- Snow removal in winter, using a snow blower, shovelling doorways and salting where needed
- Assist on Event days when requested to facilitate efficient Events coordination and execution

**Requirements**:

- Experience with maintenance equipment, and the upkeep of the associated tools
- Experience with motor vehicles
- GED education, or related education
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Problem-solving and resolution skills
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- High level of personal integrity
- Strong work ethic
- Self-starter
- Available to work weekends, holidays, weekdays
- First Aid certification an asset

Work Conditions
- Manual dexterity is required to use tools and operate equipment
- Work in various weather conditions, indoor/outdoor
- Lifting or moving up to 50lbs
- Safety boots

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour
