**Job Overview**
The HR Administrator ensures the administrative function of the Human Resources department is handled in a professional and efficient manner while interacting directly with Management, Supervision and Employees.
**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and participate in recruiting activities ie preparing internal/external job ads, pre-screening applicants, and arranging of Plant interviews, conduct reference checks,
- Schedule orientations for new hires, book meeting rooms and send orientation invites to internal departmental staff
- Provide reception back-up as needed
- Design/track recruitment methods ie timing, successes, turnover
- Work with Plant Managers/Supervisors to develop/revise positions descriptions as required
- Revise/create HR policies, procedures and handbook as required
- Assist with HR and health and safety related programs as required
- Assist the HR department with projects, reports, presentations and hand-outs, as required
- Assist with the planning on company events (employee appreciate day
- Assist in the set up and maintenance of the training matrix for all training programs
- Assist with arranging and tracking of external H&S training
- Administer the new employee orientation program
**Requirements**:
- Completion of post-secondary diploma in human resources management or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within a manufacturing Human Resources department
- Previous recruiting experience is an asset
- Knowledge of utilizing social media platforms for recruitment purposes
- Demonstrated strong organizational, planning, coordination and priority setting skills
- Possess a high degree of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
- Proficient in MS Office
- Desire to work towards a CHRP designation
