**_Position Summary:_**

Reporting to the Long Sault Shift Supervisor, the Operator is responsible for maintaining the quality of the material produced and performing required tests.

**_
Position Responsibilities:_**
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain the quality of the sheets.
- Ensure that the line is properly set-up.
- Responsible for performing required product tests such as XRite YI and light transmission, coating thickness measurements using microscope, impact test, rib and lip measurements, etc.
- Document all tests and process changes.
- Generate and fill out the required quality test sheet.
- Ensure that regrind is used and is available (properly mixed) during the shift and at the proper percentage.
- Check alarms every hour.
- Keep retain samples properly identified and signed.
- Responsible to ensure that all finish products, trim, scrap & others are properly identified.
- Replenish dripgard coating.
- Check product sheets.
- Housekeeping of line and work area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Training of other operators and assistants as required.
- Enter production results into form/computer/database as required.
- Responsible for making ID Labels.
- Cleaning of equipment as required.

Qualifications:_**

Grade 12 diploma or relevant experience, industrial experience, mechanical abilities, good knowledge of measuring tools and plastic extrusion is an asset.
