Superior Locates Services a division of Turn-Key Construction is seeking a Utility Locate Technician for public and private locates at our Thunder Bay office. The Utility Locate Technician will support our public and private locate division as well as our Structured wiring, Fibre Optic, Outside Plant, and Buried Service Work divisions. Superior Locates is a fast-growing company with strong ties to numerous communities in Northwestern Ontario which promotes growth and partnerships with other local companies.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Collection of field data operating electromagnetic induction locating equipment with all accessories including ground penetrating and concrete scanning devices.
- Locate Hydro, Water, Sewer, Natural Gas, and Telecommunications infrastructure with paint and flags for Utilities and Private customers.
- Read project sheets and perform project safety site inspections.
- Read, interpret, and augment maps with notes.
- Drive service vehicles and maintain inventory and safe storage of equipment.
- Travel to other cities/areas, work in a variety of settings, and work site conditions.
- Work out-of-town on occasion.
- Operate a computer.
- Create digital locate sketches.
- Take photos of locates.
- Other duties as required

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Clean driver’s license
- Experience in the Hydro, Telecommunications, Natural Gas, Sewer/Water, Civil Excavation, and Construction industries an asset
- ORCGA DPT trained, with a minimum of 3 years of experience as an asset
- Computer Skills
- Self-organizing and able to multi-task
- Experience dealing directly with customers
- Strong communication and team skills
- Criminal Record Check Required
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to work on job sites outside for long periods
