**The Position: Maintenance Lead**
The Maintenance Lead is responsible assisting the Maintenance Manager with all engineering and maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, the grounds, mechanical equipment, guestrooms and hotel meeting space.
**ACTIVITIES**:
The duties of the Maintenance Lead include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervises and assists maintenance staff and contractors in the maintenance and repair of plumbing, hotel rooms, A/C and heating, ice machines, swimming pool, lighting, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, laundry, emergency systems, switch rooms, etc.
- Ensures all maintenance and repairs are completed on a timely, cost-effective basis and according to specifications.
- Responsible for the safety of the department and the building.
- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
- Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to subordinates..
- Completes tasks as directled by the Maintenance Manager
**COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING**:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Effective communication and people management skills
- Quick thinking and able to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs
- Guest oriented and service minded with an attention to detail
- Excellent planning and organizing skills
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Must be able to work independently and maintain a positive attitude within a busy environment ~ hours will fluctuate, must be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, & holidays
Pay: $21.75 per hour
