**What Are We About?**:
As a member of the Health, Wellness and Accessible Education Services team the Personal Wellness Counsellor will work collaboratively with students to help them develop insights, identify strengths, and enhance their personal resilience. Reporting to the Director, Health, Wellness and Accessibility Services the Counsellor will have multi-campus responsibilities in providing clinical and therapeutic support to students with a focus on supporting students using a brief, goal-directed, stepped care model. Clinical duties include collaborating with students to determine their individual goals, challenges and areas requiring support to maximize their personal and academic success at Fleming.
Counsellors should embrace working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and appreciate the values of collaboration, communication, and the opportunity to work closely with students. The Counsellor will work in a consultative role with faculty and college staff to identify and address student issues; conduct workshops and participate in department and counselling team meetings.
- Please note: This position is designated 100% on campus. This position will be required to travel and work at our Haliburton campus for 1 day every 2 weeks_

¿**What We Are Looking For**:
- Masters Degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Social Work or other closely related discipline
- 3-5 years directly related work experience in a post-secondary, counselling service or community based mental health agency
- Be a member in good standing with respective regulatory body (Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), College of Psychologists of Ontario)
- Possess the lived experience, knowledge, and cultural experiences required to address the specific issues BIPOC and/or 2SLGBTQIA students face safely and effectively.
- Knowledge and awareness of, the life experiences and needs of BIPOC and/or 2SLGBTQIA students.
- Awareness of the impacts of historical and ongoing colonialism and intergenerational trauma for Indigenous, Metis and Inuit communities, and demonstrated commitment to decolonialization.
- Clinical experience providing culturally responsive brief counselling and crisis intervention for a diverse student population with a specific focus on supporting students who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Colour (BIPOC) and/or part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
- Strong generalist experience working with a variety of issues common in college populations including stress and anxiety management, eating and body image issues, sexual and other forms of trauma, substance abuse, non-suicidal self-injury, suicidality, depression and mood disorders, ADHD, ASD, etc
- Experience with diverse modes of counselling practice such as virtual service delivery, walk-in counselling, and single session
- Complete timely documentation according to Counselling Services and regulatory policies
- Demonstrated skills in the facilitation of therapeutic and psycho-educational groups, as well as experience in creating and delivering mental health workshops and training sessions**Please Note - Academic**:
