Food Services Assistant

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents following standardized recipes
- Review regular and therapeutic menus
- Set up equipment and supplies for daily food production
- Monitor the quality and freshness of food
- Ensure the food is kept at the right temperature
- Assist cooking staff as required
- Clean dinnerware, equipment, and dining/kitchen area thoroughly
- A garbage disposal as required

**Requirements**:

- Good communication skills in English
- Food Healthcare Certificate is required
- Previous experience in commercial kitchens would be an asset
- High degree of concern for the quality of care for senior residents
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, stretching, and lifting objects
- Positive attitude and friendly demeanor toward guests and staff
- Must be agreeable to obtaining a vulnerable sector check as part of the employment
