We are a growing **Construction **company that is seeking a **General Construction Labourer **to work on our various residential and commercial projects in the GTA.

The Construction Labourer position is for somebody who is confident with hands-on construction and is able to properly and safely use various hand
- and power-tools (i.e., table saw, mitre saw, skill saw, power drills, demo hammers, etc.). This role also requires somebody who is able to work in a team, is safety-minded, and who is able to ensure that the site of each project is safe, clean, and well-organized.

We are looking for somebody who is motivated to learn and willing to work hard, with the strong potential of growing with our company. **Work is year-round and full time, and pay for the position of General Construction Labourer will start at $20-23/per hour **(depending on skills and experience).

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

- 1+ year relevant experience required (minimum)
- High-School Diploma (minimum), with related training and/or trade certificates a major asset
- G2 or G Driver’s Licence and access to their own insured vehicle
- Clean background (online background check required)
- Personable and able to interact appropriately with customers and suppliers; must be a good representation of the company
- Physically fit (can lift 50+ lbs) and able to work extended hours (when required)
- Punctual, reliable, and accountable for tools/materials being used on site
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Must be able to travel across the GTA for projects; applicants must be local (no out-of-province or international applicants)

**Responsibilities and Duties**

POSITION-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

- Able to maintain a safe, clean, organized job site
- Able to follow direction of Construction Foreman on site; able to work independently (when required)
- Strong knowledge of tools and how to use them safely and efficiently
- Constant awareness of and adherence to standard safety procedures.

**Qualifications and Skills**

This position requires the following skills:

- demolition
- drywall installation
- mortar & mud mixing
- insulation & vapour barrier installation
- site clean-up
- confident in using a measuring tape and mitre saw
- heavy-lifting required
- Experience in additional areas of renovations are considered an asset.
