**_Position Summary:_**

Reporting the the Production Supervisor(s), the General Labourer performs a variety of manual or machine-assisted tasks with duties involved in the processing of meat (i.e., turkey) products ready for shipment. The position requires initiative, willingness to learn all processes and to follow strict hygiene and health and safety regulations.

**_ A typical day:_**
- Handle raw meat
- Cut, trim, sort, remove specific meat sections
- Remove bones and cut meat into standard cuts
- Tend an assembly lines to perform cuts
- Orient meat products on conveyor belts
- Pack raw meat product into carton
- Maintain clean work area and pick up meat debris
- Other duties as required

**Requirements**:
**_ Working Environment:_**
- Perform tasks which are repetitive and require strong hand/eye coordination
- Ability to lift a min of 30 pounds, and ability to stand for extended hours
- Physically demanding, fast-paced work
- Must be able to work in a cold, damp environment
- Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language
- High school education or equivalent
