Thunder Bay, Canada Northwestern Veterinary Hospital Full time

Northwestern Veterinary Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ontario is looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our busy and progressive small animal practice. With a team of 12 veterinarians and over 50 support staff, Northwestern Veterinary Hospital is proud to offer high quality, full service veterinary care including routine preventative care, orthopedics, soft tissue surgery, laser therapy, dental care, and ultrasound services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team member who has exceptional technical and customer service skills. Continued education, association dues, employee discounts, and extended health benefits are offered. Recent graduates of an RVT program or experienced RVTs are encouraged to apply.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding pet health and care.
- Assist veterinarians in examinations and procedures, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for animals.
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
- Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.

**Qualifications**
- Valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners
- Laboratory experience for conducting diagnostic tests
- Ability to assist in surgical procedures and patient care
- Knowledge of veterinary software and record-keeping
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with veterinarians and staff

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $22.50 per hour
