We are seeking 2 Seasonal Utility Workers to join our Northern Generation Department in Gillam, Manitoba for a 6-month term
opportunity. You will perform various utility tasks associated with all Northern Generation Generating Stations.

**_Responsibilities:_**
- Participate actively and positively in the development of the team and the achievement of the team's goals.
- Assist tradesperson and technicians in the performance of their duties.
- Assist with rough carpentry and concrete work, grouting and cement finishing, bricklaying, fence erection and building
- erection.- Assist in plant cleanliness, painting, grass cutting, landscaping, maintenance of roads and grounds, and snow removal.
- Ensure that duties performed comply with Corporate and regulatory environmental requirements.
- Report any incidents or situations that may be harmful to the environment or in violation of corporate or regulatory
- requirements.- Operate simple electrical and pneumatic tools.
- Perform rigging work which will require climbing ability.
- Possibility of operating the following mobile equipment: cars, trucks, track-mobiles, tractors, front-end loaders, backhoe,
- snowmobile, motorboat, powerhouse cranes and other light equipment.- Assist in the placement and removal of stop logs on forebay and tailrace gates.
- Required to perform grinding duties during the turbine runner repairs and also assist in scroll case inspections.

**_ Qualifications:_**
- Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent.
- Required to have a minimum of one-year related experience.
- Physically capable of working at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
- Fully understand and adhere to regulations pertaining to the use of power tools and Corporation safety rules.
- Capable of understanding and following written and oral instructions, plans and sketches of small projects.
- Requires the ability to work harmoniously with fellow employees.
- Possess a valid Manitoba Driver's Licence.

There are multiple stations in NGD which generate 70% of the electricity produced for Manitobans. This provides great experience

**Note**: This position is primarily based out of Northern Generating Department Stations (NGD) but may be required to perform

**_ Salary Range_**

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $20.27-$28.28 Hourly,
$38,843.48-$54,191.80 Annually.
