**We are seeking a passionate **Security Agent** in** Whitby, Ontario **to join our village**.**

**What **you’ll** do**
- Interact with guests and colleagues to ensure a welcoming and memorable experience
- Conduct indoor and outdoor patrols while managing movement of guests and contractors throughout the property
- Provide site support including outdoor live fire management, enforcing spa etiquette, and other facility matters.
- Identify, monitor, report, and proactively take action in order to maintain safety and security of the site, while identifying workplace or guest experience hazards in support of Thermëa’s Health & Safety program
- Establish and maintain access control of the site while protecting the interests and assets of the organization including loss prevention
- Defuse guest disturbances and escort guests off the property when necessary
- In partnership with Leadership, conduct investigations, gather evidence and facilitate interviews with involved parties
- Complete all required reports including shift and incident reports, while maintaining confidentiality of all documentation
- Maintain and operate security room, equipment and CCTV system
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Profile Needed**

**What is the profile needed **in order to** be successful in this position**
- High school diploma or GED;
- Experience in security;
- Experience in hospitality and/or customer preferred
- Possess a valid provincial security guard licence; First Aid & CPR and AED certifications
- Be in good physical condition: ability to work in a noisy, hot and/or cold outdoor environment for extended periods of time; ability to work on your feet for long hours;
- Good interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills;
- Positive attitude, resourceful, ability to be discreet, and calm under pressure
- Demonstrate good judgement, common sense and decision-making ability; particularly when dealing with emergencies or other incidents;
- Ability to meticulously maintain good records;
- Ability to develop strong relationships throughout the organization, creating a sense of trust and support;
- Excellent observation skills.

**When**

40 hours a week, you will work on flexible schedule (days, evenings, weekends, overnights, holidays). Shifts range from 8 hours to 12 hours including overnight shifts.
