Surgical Patient Coordinator - Plastic Surgery Clinic

Job Title: Surgical Patient Coordinator

Location: Scarborough, Ontario

Key Responsibilities:
PRIMARY
- Welcoming patients for new consultations introducing them to the clinic
- Book consultations in an organized and timely manner
- Management of all leads including those without consultation or surgical bookings
- Organization and collection of patient forms prior to consultations/surgeries
- Work collaboratively with surgeon to provide educational consultations using superior patient care and attention to patient needs. Qualify patients, ensure enough time is spent with patients, all patient questions are answered and diligent follow up is completed for each consultations
- Prepare and provide surgical quotes to patients
- Meet monthly conversion goals for lead to consultation as well as consultation to surgery
- Manage physicians’ schedules to maximize booking efforts
- Manage patient information and ensure data is accurate and complete in the EMR system
- Schedule all surgical appointments including, pre-ops, post-ops, and surgery date
- Ensure patient satisfaction in results and care using analysis of surveys and collection of positive online reviews

SECONDARY
- Process OHIP billing, submit to MOH, pull and correct error reports and manage all OHIP re-submissions
- Manage A/R reports and ensure billings are not missed
- Manage referrals out
- Work with manager to schedule OR staff as needed
- Oversee appointment reminder system to ensure reminders are being sent out
- Assist with before & after photos
- Develop new strategies to improve patient care and patient flow through the surgical process at the clinic
- Suggest idea and strategies for new SOPs for patient co-ordination role as well as other roles in the clinic

TERTIARY
- Assist with inventory management when needed
- Assist with front desk during vacation/time off

Qualifications:

- High school diploma 
- 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Strong time-management and people skills, flexibility and multitasking ability
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn technology quickly
- Engaging personality and optimistic outlook
- Ability to handle confidential information  
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional phone manner
- Excellent organizational skills
- Customer service oriented

**Salary**: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
