An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Liability Examiner within our Canadian Third party administration group.

Liability Examiner - Full-time (Hybrid or Remote, Anywhere in Canada) DWF Claims is an independent third-party claims administrator which provides claims services for domestic insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates, self-insured entities, or organizations with high deductibles or self-insured retention. DWF Claims works with independent adjusting firms across the country. Operating out of Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver.

**Responsibilities**:

- Examine claims including professional liability, commercial general liability, legal expense claims, and wrap up liability.
- Review, investigate and evaluate claim notices, incident reports, correspondence, investigative reports, and various technical documents to determine coverage, liability exposure, and resolution strategies;
- Direct Field Adjusters on assignment investigations
- Act as an examiner for various Lloyds accounts which involves providing prompt, fair, quality claims service to clients.
- Settle claims directly with claimants or their representatives
- Administer claims payments/settlements through trust accounts
- Liaise with all stakeholders to insure client's needs are met

What will help you succeed in this role?:

- College diploma or combination of education and equivalent business
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years of claims experience in handling of liability claims
- Experience dealing with Lloyds a clear advantage.
- Ability to juggle tight and often conflicting priorities
- A true self-starter; happy to get your sleeves rolled up.
