**Provides all aspects of dining service for residents, guests and family membersDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Responsible for all aspects of dining service, including but not limited to resident functions, room tray service, serving of food and beverages and setting/clearing of dining room.**:

- **May assist with the presentation of food (such as desserts) under the direction of the Cook.**:

- **Carries out general cleaning duties and routines, including setting and cleaning tables and counters. May be required to scrape, stack, and rack dishes.**:

- **Practices and maintains established standards for cleanliness and sanitation required by the Health Department in the residence.**:

- **Dusts tables and chairs and vacuums dining room floor.**:

- **Ensures condiment containers are clean and full.**:

- **Maintains positive communication and relationships among staff, residents and the public.**:

- **Performs other related duties as assigned.**

**Physical Requirements**
- **Stretching/reaching on a regular frequency throughout the shift as an essential job function.**:

- **Walking, with possibility of some upstairs walking, as a major job function.**:

- **Standing, for lengths of time, up to four hours maximum. (1-3 hours usual) as a major job function.**:

- **Must be able to move, lift or push equipment and supplies of various sizes and weights.**:

- **Must have visual and hearing acuity to recognize the need of assistance required by residents.11**

**Health and Safety**
- **Is aware of employee's responsibilities and follows all health and safety policies and procedures as set out in the employee safety program handbook and departmental manuals.**:

- **Works safely to reduce the risk of injury to self, co-workers, and Residents.**:

- **Does not operate or use faulty equipment.**:

- **Wears personal protective equipment (or clothing) as required by task, S.D.S. or residence policy.**:

- **Participates in fire safety demonstrations and fire drills, and knows the residence fire and disaster plans.**

**KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND EXPERIENCE**
- **Smart Serve certification preferred.**:

- **Experience Serving or in another Customer Service Role.**:

- **A good command of the English language, both oral and written skills.**:

- **Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.**

Pay: $17.25 per hour

Expected hours: 32.5 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Weekends as needed
