Excavator Operator

**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to perform tasks such as digging, grading, and paving.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Safely load and unload materials using excavators and loaders.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on job sites.
- Assist in the training of new operators as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that tools and equipment are stored properly.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is preferred.
- Experience in loader operation, backhoe operation, and grader operation is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans.
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Pay: $20.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 60 per week
