As a part of the Footcare on Bay Team, the Pedorthist is responsible for providing exceptional care and service to patients in the assessment of lower limb biomechanics, the design and fitting of custom orthotics, and the modification of footwear. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, disciplined and looking to be part of our exciting journey so based on a long-term partnership with exceptional growth potential.

**FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assess patient needs, develop and implement a treatment program in accordance with the professional college’s standards of practice.
- Educate patients on their treatment program and proper maintenance and prevention techniques.
- Conduct biomechanical assessments and gait analyses.
- Design, fabricate, and fit custom orthotics and footwear modifications.
- Experience with Shockwave is a bonus but not necessary.
- Consults with other allied health care professionals within the clinic to develop treatment plans for clients.
- Is proactive at building a successful Pedorthist business within the clinic where patients are both acquired and retained.
- Maintains patient records, charts, and the EMR.
- Ensuring treatment rooms and equipment are all well maintained.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Certified and in good standing as a Canadian Certified Pedorthist (C. Ped (C)) with the College of Pedorthics of Canada with current professional liability insurance.
- Excellent patient service skills that build loyalty and referrals.
- Able to work a variety of shifts including days, weekends, and evenings.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
