Requisition ID: 34778 Opportunity Type: Permanent Estimated Annual Salary: 250,000 - 300,000 Type of Remuneration: FFS - Fee For Service Site Visit & Reallocation Allowance Programs: Relocation Program; Site Visit Program Department of Health & Wellness Incentives: Family Medicine Bursary Program; Debt Assistance; Tuition Relief **About This Opportunity**: Services: - ambulatory care - anesthesiology - cancer and supportive care - cardiac respiratory services - chronic pain services - diabetes education services - diagnostic imaging - dietary and nutrition services - emergency medicine - general medicine - intensive care unit - internal medicine - laboratory services - medical and surgical unit - mental health and addiction services - obstetrics and gynecology - occupational therapy - otolaryngology - palliative care - physiotherapy - volunteer services **Responsibilities**: - provide prenatal clinic care one day a week, staffed with an obstetrical nurse - provide inpatient coverage at CRHCC - participate in perinatal care, outpatient visits, and follow-up visits - provide neonatal care (with the intention to limit deliveries to 36 weeks and no GA) and neonatal resuscitation - cover low-risk deliveries perform cesarean surgical assists **Expected Hours**: - full-time, part-time, and locums - coverage of own inpatients during the week, with general sign-out to others on the weekends **Qualifications**: - all family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) - all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) - membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - current Advances in Labour and Risk Management (ALARM) **Community**: The Town of Amherst is located at the northeast end of the Cumberland Basin, an arm of the Bay of Fundy.
