The Sexual Assault Centre for Quinte & District is a feminist organization that provides non-judgmental, supportive counselling and information for all survivors of sexual abuse and assault in Hastings & Prince Edward Counties.

**1:1 Counsellor & Afternoon Support Staff at Paths of Courage**

**One year Contract Position - FT 35-42 hours per week**

**Responsibilities for the Counsellor position**
- Provide effective, trauma informed supportive non-judgmental 1:1 counselling to adult survivors of sexual abuse and assault
- Scheduling clients, maintaining your own schedule including rescheduling and cancellations
- Responsible for intake and maintaining accurate and up to date on-going case notes
- Possess excellent listening skills and communication skills
- Maintaining, compiling, and submitting monthly client stats
- Assisting with Counselling Group work as requested
- Participation in staff / counsellor meetings
- All other tasks as assigned by management

**Responsibilities for the Paths of Courage Afternoon Support position**
- You will work afternoon shift during the week you are covering the in-person Residential Healing Program (RHP) at Paths of Courage in Demorestville (dates all pre-set)
- You will cover _up to twelve_ (12) RHP’s from January to November each year
- You will work Sunday from 4:30pm-11:00pm, Monday to Thursday from 4:00pm - 11:00pm and 10:15am - 3:00pm on Friday
- You will help facilitate the evening participant workshops
- You will assist in nightly kitchen clean-up and ensure kitchen cleanliness for the next day
- You will set up and put away evening snacks
- You will provide assistance to each participants if required with a supportive, non-judgmental calm approach
- You will complete all daily log entries as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Social Services or related field
- Registration with OCSWSSW
- Sexual violence (SV) and/or Violence Against Women (VAW) sector experience
- Strong communication and computer skills in various programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, ZOOM etc.
- AR/AO understanding & working knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
- Valid driver’s license and insurance and the use of your own vehicle
- Current Police Record check
- Current CPR & First Aid would be an asset

Pay: $26.00-$27.00 per hour
