**Security Guard**

2 positions available - 1 full time and 1 casual/on-call

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Reports to Security Leader.

Patrols industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensures security of doors, windows, and gates.

Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.

Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.

Reports on daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.

Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.

**Desired Skills & Experience**

**Must be Licensed (“Private Security and Investigative Services”)**

Post-secondary education preferred.

Extensive knowledge of the security procedures and emergency response required

CPR/First Aid/AED Certified required.

Fire monitor and protection knowledge.

Access control system (Protector. Net) experience.

Results oriented, self-motivated and works well under pressure.

Strong team player with good interpersonal skill
