**Company Description**

This is a full-time on-site role for a Housekeeper at Steep Island Lodge, located on Steep Island, (10-minute boat ride from Campbell River, BC.) The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in guest rooms and common areas, handling laundry, ensuring high standards of hygiene and sanitation, and restocking supplies. Additional duties include reporting any maintenance issues, providing excellent customer service to guests, and assisting in setting up rooms for special events or guests' needs.

The hospitality team is made up of 5 individuals (plus a chef). Our guest capacity is 22. The schedule is very dynamic.

**HOUSEKEEPING**:_Exceptional cleaning skills are required_**.**Clean common areas of lodge, games room, gym, and staff residence. Clean cabins, kitchens and bathrooms, empty trash, make beds, replace toiletries, sweep, vacuum and mop floors and decks. Attention to providing sanitary facilities is very important.

**LAUNDRY**: Soak, wash, dry, and fold sheets, towels, and bedding. Use chemical stain removers safely - No Bleach As we are on septic. All laundry is done on site. Must use rotary iron to iron all bed linens.

**ASSORTED TASKS**:restocking shelves, garden, painting cabins, assisting with going to the dump and picking up supplies.

**Must be physically able to repeatedly climb and descend stairs carrying 40 pounds.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal Contract length: 2.5Months

**Salary**: $3500 Monthly (before taxes)

**Day range: Wednesday-Sunday**

**Shift:10 hour shifts -8-hour shifts**

**Requirements**:

- **Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or Work Visa (we cannot sponsor so you must already be legal to work in Canada)**:

- First aid is an asset. (preferred)
- Comfortable speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Must be able to do prolonged physical activity.
- Can lift 50 lbs. (gas cans, food, luggage, etc.)
- Avoid use of alcohol, cannabis, and other substances during work hours
- Bring suitable outerwear and footwear for the climate and dress professionally.
- Pay attention to detail and time constraints.
- Above all, you can handle the unpredictability and isolation of living in a remote camp
- Experience in Laundry and Organization Skills
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks throughout the day
- Previous housekeeping experience

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $3,300.00-$3,500.00 per month
