**What To Expect in aTypical Day**

As a JDI Expeditor, here are some of the things to expect on a day-to-day basis:

- Source/procure various types of transportation methods for goods and equipment
- Work with suppliers to meet and improve on delivery dates
- Opportunities to challenge yourself daily by making quick and creative decisions to meet delivery requirements in a fast-paced industry
- Daily/weekly management of expediting reports to identify positive and negative trends in regard to sourcing with key vendors

**Qualifications**
- Excellent communications skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Assertive
- High attention to detail
- Ability to multitask while prioritizing workload
- Ability to build good rapport with customers and suppliers
- Post Secondary Education
- Experience in procurement, transportation and understanding of INCOTERMS is an asset

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Strategic sourcing
- Work with internal ERP solutions
- Perform expedite activities to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Coordination of transportation and logistics as required
- Collaboration with Suppliers and internal Customers on shipment status, continuous improvements, key performance indicators
- Networking and building strong working relationships with internal and external customers
- Able to work independently
- Facilitate supplier and customer meetings
- Understand business requirements
- Recognition of demand patterns
- Support and identify savings opportunities
- Manage key contracts and supplier relationships
- Close working relationship with internal customers to monitor and resolve new and recurring delivery of goods on behalf of suppliers
