Treasury Associate

**Position Summary**:
This is an exciting position to be part of our journey towards building a supporting Treasury function for our organization. We have a number of exciting aspirations for the future and we are looking for a business professional to support the Treasurer in the preparation of timely financial reports and the development of internal control practices within our organization. This role will also involve researching of best practices which we can implement internally as part of our aspiration to continue to support communities.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
As our treasury associate, under the supervision of the treasurer, you will:

- Upload and send payments for approval by bank account signatories
- Download and analyze bank statements
- Prepare journal vouchers
- Post accounting entries including accrual journals
- Prepare financial statements
- Maintain internal controls as approved by the board
- Perform other adhoc tasks including researching of best practices to support the treasury function

**Qualifications**:
Graduated or enrolled in a University degree or College diploma or certificate program in a business-related discipline such as accounting or economics

Have at least 6 months of experience

Effective oral and written communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong organizational skills and an ability to keep on top of workload

Able to commit to one year with the organization

Sound computer skills including operating Google Suite

Strong interpersonal skills

Part-time hours: 2-4 per week
