Sanitation Worker

**Position Summary**:
The Sanitation worker will be part of the sanitation/Janitorial crew who will carry out cleaning and sanitation of the plant, the equipment and utensils according to Champ’s Standard Sanitation Operation Procedure.

**Shift Time: 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM (Overnight)**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Cleaning and sanitization of equipment, surfaces, utensils, floor/drain and wall.
- Use the checklist accurately for everyday duties
- Following implemented Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure (SSOPs).
- Correctly document all required cleaning.
- Accurately perform chemical concentration testing for all diluted chemicals according to procedures
- Communicate to Supervisor any findings related to food safety or equipment damage
- Ability to use floor cleaner and a pressure washer safely
- Comply to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- Other responsibilities as required.
- Willing to work on the assigned schedule
- Own transportation

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Relevant post-secondary education
- Knowledge and experience with Sanitation preferred
- Must be flexible to work varying shifts and weekends
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, WHMIS, Health and Safety Regulations.
- Knowledge of cleaning systems (CIP, COP) and chemicals is an advantage
- Able to work in a team.
- Able to work in a cold or wet environment
- Able to work with chemicals
- Able to walk constantly
- Able to lift and/or move 50lbs credentials

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
