We’re on the hunt for a **Junior Technician - Specialization RF** on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

**Role**:
The Junior Technician - RF Specialization is a continuing education level. May require supervision of more experienced technicians or technical staff to perform simple test bench assembly, modification or validation tasks. May be required to perform tests on simple electronic assemblies, passive or active telecommunications equipment, and chamber monitoring on more complex equipment. Must demonstrate initiative and progress within routine tasks with well-defined boundaries.

**Responsibility/Tasks**:

- Assist in aligning and testing simple production equipment according to well-defined procedures or other guidelines. Record test results.
- Assist in setting up, modifying and checking test stands for equipment of simple complexity.
- Assist more experienced technicians or technologists.
- Perform work in accordance with internal procedures and in compliance with our occupational health and safety rules.
- Perform other related duties.

**Tasks by Assignment**: Must be able to assist in performing under supervision of engineering or more experienced technician the tests below as assigned:
**Radio frequency**:

- Basic knowledge of the discipline and some experience of the various measuring instruments used. E.g. power supply, spectrum analyzer, multimeter, vector network analyzer (optional).
- Thermal and vacuum thermal testing.
- Bench testing with vector analyzer, spectrum analyzer and other measuring instruments.

**Qualifications**:

- DEC or equivalent in electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications or related field.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Fluency in spoken and written French. Knowledge of English an asset.
