**Job Summary**:
Seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Outpatient Booking Clerk to join our dedicated Diagnostic Imaging team. This key role is responsible for the efficient and accurate scheduling of a range of imaging and outpatient services, including CT scans, Ultrasound, Well Women’s Clinic appointments, Echocardiograms, Holter monitors, PFTs, and Fracture Clinic consultations.

This position also supports film library operations, including burning CDs. By working collaboratively with patients, physicians, and healthcare providers, the Booking Clerk ensures smooth coordination of scheduling, registration, requisition handling, and patient preparation.

**Requirements**:

- Health Services Office Administration diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a medical terminology course (required).
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience with patient scheduling and registration modules is essential and experience with Meditech is preferred.
- Previous DI booking experience an asset.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training or equivalent is an asset.

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Accurate keyboarding skills (minimum 50 wpm).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Professional telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills; able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to communicate professionally with physicians and medical offices; reading and interpreting medical orders is an asset.
- Flexible and responsive to last-minute changes, including appointment cancellations, rescheduling, and staffing adjustments.
- Compassionate and supportive when assisting patients experiencing emotional or mental health challenges.
- Self-directed with the ability to adapt to evolving departmental needs.
- Physically capable of meeting the demands of the position.

**Hours of Work**: Available for all shifts**Monday to Friday. Weekend work may be required as needed.
