We are a fast growing, medium sized commercial sheet metal contractor looking for an HVAC Project Coordinator to join our team. The Project Coordinator will provide support for the Project Management Team through administrative processes and resource coordination in commercial construction environments on Vancouver Island.

In this role, a thorough understanding of commercial, residential, multi family and industrial construction projects is crucial. This is an opportunity to work for an organization that offers a long-term career opportunity in a positive and collaborative working environment.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- An understanding of construction project life cycles
- Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Adobe and Bluebeam
- Understanding of project specific platforms such as Procore, Autodesk, Trimble etc.
- Self starter with excellent time management skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- HVAC or Sheetmetal Construction Experience

Roles/Responsibilities:

- Project document control including the maintenance of electronic and manual filing systems as per company standards and processes
- Assist Project Managers in issuing and/or tracking RFI’s, shop drawings, purchase orders, change orders etc.
- Track equipment release and delivery
- Ability to take detailed meeting minutes
- Handle the facilitation of all shop submittal revisions between client and suppliers
- Monitor building platforms for updates to drawings, submittals and RFIs
- Monitor SharePoint to ensure up to date drawings, packing slips, equipment releases, and all approved submittals and SIs are uploaded
- Track and prepare IOMs and other close out documents at project wrap up
- Ensure all pertinent project documentation is saved into appropriate folders for future reference and document control
