Pilot Truck Driver

Your duties include driving an automobile in front of or behind the oversized vehicle. As you drive, your responsibilities include communicating with the truck driver to ensure that they are aware of any upcoming situations such as traffic jams, stop lights, or other obstacles. If you drive behind the truck, you ensure that the load remains secure during the trip. An escort vehicle sometimes has a siren or lights that warn other drivers of the presence of an oversized vehicle on the roadway.
- Must be able to communicate verbally clearly and concisely to pilot and crew members in order to obtain instructions, safety rules, determine traffic patterns and announce obstructions on the road. It will also require communication via radio and intercom, as well as directing traffic at times.
- Must be physically able to assist the driver with lifting heavy objects, and loading and unloading the load.
- Must have a clean driving record and an Alberta Class 5 Driver's Licence and minimum of 3 years driving experience.

Pay: From $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
