Mrs. P Stitches is a Toronto-based bridal studio celebrated for **expert gown alterations, custom design work, and a curated line of bridal accessories.**We create a warm, stress-free experience for every bride and pride ourselves on craftsmanship, detail, and exceptional service.

**Role Overview**

The **Lead Alterations Specialist** is the operations wizard of our bridal studio — balancing hands-on craftsmanship with leadership and coordination. This role combines technical sewing expertise, client-facing fittings, and administrative support to ensure the alterations department runs with precision and efficiency.

You’ll conduct your own fittings, oversee workflow for other seamstresses, and maintain an organized, uplifting work environment where every bride receives a flawless experience.

**Compensation**:
$20/hour + $100 per dress completed (upon pickup by bride)

**Core Responsibilities**

**1. Client Experience & Fittings**
- Conduct one-on-one bridal fittings, ensuring accuracy in measurements, comfort, and design preferences.
- Provide styling and alteration recommendations during fittings to enhance each bride’s vision.
- Schedule, confirm, and track fittings and pickups in the booking system.

**2. Alterations & Quality Control**
- Perform alterations on bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and special occasion wear with expert craftsmanship.
- Oversee and assist seamstresses to ensure consistent quality and timelines.
- Review each completed dress before delivery or pickup for perfection in fit and finish.

**3. Operations & Admin Leadership**
- Maintain the alterations workflow calendar, prioritize tasks, and communicate timelines with the team.
- Support the team by organizing supplies, managing client files, and ensuring a smooth flow between fittings and sewing.
- Assist management with tracking dress completions, payments, and production milestones.

**4. Team Development & Collaboration**
- Mentor and guide junior seamstresses, offering feedback and training when needed.
- Promote a positive, professional, and detail-oriented work culture.
- Collaborate with ownership on improving systems, scheduling, and client satisfaction.
- 5+ years of experience in bridal or formalwear alterations.
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.
- Passionate about teamwork, client experience, and craftsmanship.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
