Automotive Damage Appraiser Demers

Bemac Collision Group has an immediate opportunity for a Vehicle Appraiser to join their team in a well-established, progressively growing group of companies. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, The Vehicle Appraiser is responsible for determining the extent of damage and total repair cost of an automobile on behalf of the automotive company. and negotiating the cost of repairs with the specific technicians.

**Job Type**: Full-time

**Reports to The Operations Manager**

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Examining the vehicle and providing a rough estimate for parts, repair and labor charges of the damaged vehicle.
- Evaluating the cost of the vehicle’s repairs and determining if it is reasonable to repair.
- Examining the amount of damage to the external, internal, and mechanical parts of the vehicle and reporting these observations to the automobile insurance company.
- Filling out various forms that are required as per the rules and regulations of the local/provincial authorities or federal government.
- Communicating with the insurance company to optimize the estimate to best suit the needs of the vehicle’s repair.

**Skills and Experience**:

- high school diploma
- experience in the field of automobile insurance or knowledge about automobile damage and repair work
- good knowledge about the various prices and ongoing trends in the automobile industry
- basic idea about how the approximate repairs of a damaged vehicle
- performing a simple examination on the basis of the automobile model and the extent of damage
- possess good listening and communication skills
- good interpersonal skills
- adequate knowledge about the various software programs

**Physical Abilities**:

- General Physical Skills (carrying, squatting, kneeling, pushing, standing, sitting, walking, reaching, pulling extensively)
- Repetitiv motion

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
