Specific Responsibilities include:

- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This includes safety training, anti-harassment training, industry certifications, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Manage new hire orientation and help organize training & development initiatives
- Administer compensation and benefit plans and coordinate employee recognition programs
- Organize periodic employee performance reviews
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, health and safety, and training and development and other human resource programs and policies.
- Handle employment-related inquiries such as leaves and compensation from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff and where possible, resolve any issues that may arise
- Undertake tasks around performance management
- Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $34.00-$38.00 per hour
