**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
Reporting to the IT Network Manager, the Help Desk Technician is expected to provide timely and useful technical assistance on computer systems.
This is role will be an onsite role and will be staff facing, with daily face to face interactions supporting other members of staff.
This requires in-depth technical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively to understand client problems and explain proper solutions.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal clients seeking technical assistance
- Perform in person and remote troubleshooting as required
- Escalate complex, unresolved issues to next level of support
- Provide information on IT products or services to clients
- Prepare computers for workers with imaging software
- Strong English verbal and written communication skill
- Well-developed analytical, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality Resourceful, independent and results-driven
- Experience and/or training in supporting clients in a Microsoft environment, including Microsoft Office, Windows, and Windows Server
- Familiarity with help desk support systems, Microsoft Teams and MS SharePoint would be an asset
- Must be enrolled in or recently graduated from a Post-Secondary institute in relations to some technology study

- 4 month contract position, with possible extension
