**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure the safe operation of the terminal: maintain awareness for personal and co-workers safety, immediately address and report hazardous situations, and ensure knowledge and compliance with our safety and environmental policies and procedures- Manage additive material by receiving product into tanks via truck as well as draining and preparing equipment for maintenance- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment- Conduct sampling and testing as per the schedule or when required by quality issues- Monitor equipment conditions regularly and address any deviations in a timely manner- Issue or authorize work permits in accordance with our standards- Maintain and exchange a detailed account of the days activities and actions taken to mitigate risks and to ensure optimal shift transitions- Support the terminal operation to improve our safety culture and overall safety performance on the Journey to Zero and participate in emergency situations including fires and spills as required- Maintain competencies by reading and understanding new procedures or relevant changes to the manuals and documentation, and ensure regulatory training and certifications are up to date
Minimum Requirements:
- Two years of relative experience, preferably in rail and or truck product handling- A trade background in electrical or instrumentation- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)- Experience working with computerized equipment- A valid drivers license and clean driving record
Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park, located at 801 Petroleum Way- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday- This position is safety sensitive- This role is under Unifor Local 777- This position is eligible for overtime- You will be required to perform all essential physical aspects and responsibilities of the role with the mechanical aptitude to capably handle the operation of terminal equipment and maintenance in an all-weather outdoor environment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
