Background & Purpose of the Job

We are looking for a Seasonal Mix Maker at our Ice Cream Manufacturing factory in Simcoe, Ontario. Our factory produces brand names such as Breyers, Ben & Jerry's, Magnum, Klondike, Popsicle, and Wall's

The seasonal position works during the factory’s peak production season. You will also have the opportunity to be recalled for the following year.

In this role you will be responsible for the preparation of dairy ingredients, sugars and other powders to be used in ice cream production.

**Responsibilities**:
- Proven history of working safely in the workplace- Performance record is in good standing- In good physical condition to be able to handle the assigned job duties - i.e. Heavy lifting, pushing, bending, pulling- Flexible and able to work shifts as assigned- Must be able to follow a mix recipe and the direction of the operator in the staging of mixes- Proven ability to interpret a mix flavoring sheet and execute the drawing and flavoring of mixes to the production line- It is a requirement that a forklift certificate be acquired, if not already certified- Specific chemical training will be required. Knowledge of msds sheets an asset.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
- A minimum of grade 12 education- Achieving a passing grade of an operator math test- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
