**National Business Manager**
The Indeka Group is a privately held company based in east Oakville. We are one of Canada’s largest importers and distributors of footwear and accessories, including owned and licensed brands such as Kenneth Cole, Born, Dockers, Badgley Mischka, Jambu, J.B.Goodhue, Santana Canada, and Aquatherm.
- Strong sales and/or account management experience; ability to serve as a strategic key contact to our retailers and business partners.
- Strong business acumen, including but not limited to: purchasing, sales, pricing, profitability management, strategy setting and implementation.
- A proven track record of creatively and effectively building and managing businesses with a profitable portfolio.
- An enthusiastic self-starter who leads by example and is committed to growth.
- An effective and confident communicator with demonstrably superior negotiation and presentation skills.
**Responsibilities**:
- Daily account management with a strong focus on sales and business development to drive growth for assigned brands.
- Establish trust and build loyalty with key external decision makers to secure mutually beneficial, long term professional relationships.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of consumer preferences, habits, and trends.
- Set and achieve sales and margin objectives for all assigned brands, while pivoting to meet the needs of the business. This includes monitoring internal selling information, inventory levels, open-to-buys, flow of goods, and gross margin performance.
- Ensure customer account profitability by developing strategic action plans including pricing and promotional strategies.
- Prepare and present footwear and/or accessory collections.
- Attend markets, pre-line, and build Canadian-specific assortments for each brand based on sales data, trend information and market insights.
- Price product lines, create buy plans and place factory orders according to brand-specific objectives.
- Participate in trade shows and exhibitions as required.
- Interact with internal departments to optimize brand performance with regard to supply, merchandising, marketing, customer care and credit.
- Perform other position related duties as required.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- University or college degree with focus on business, marketing, or fashion & merchandising.
- 10 years minimum experience in a high-volume sales and business leadership role.
- Knowledge of the Canadian Market and the consumer.
- Demonstrated abilities to deliver strategic sales analysis.
- Ability to deliver effective presentations to senior retailers and business partners.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Travel as required - approximately 30% of the time.
Compensation:
Our compensation packages are competitive with the industry; compensation will be commensurate with experience and skillset.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $1.00 per year
