The Manager, Strategy Execution Data Analytics provides analytical data support for International Banking Strategy Execution & Portfolio Management Office (IB PMO) function in International Banking Finance. The incumbent is responsible for contributing to the identification, governance, and execution of strategic initiatives in IB being delivered in support of the Bank’s business strategies and objectives. **Accountabilities**: - Develop and maintain data models and data visualization tools to support key processes in IB Strategy Execution & PMO - Data and metrics in scope may include project execution, risk, financial execution metrics, market share, financial performance, etc. - Data tools and technologies in scope may include Alteryx, PowerBI, Excel, SQL, etc. - Assist in data quality assurance on changes made to all standard and ad-hoc reporting and databases managed by IB Strategy Execution & PMO Team - Assist in data transformation and modelling of current reports, including integration and configuration in data visualization tool - Capture system, data quality, data transformation and similar issues and assist in escalation, prioritization and resolution - Carry out daily routine project and administrative activities and provide support to team activities and projects - Analyze data in Big Data environments and structured / semi-structured / unstructured data from various sources - Support in identification and implementation of best practices to ensure efficient use of resources (e.g. efficient data transformation processes and system integration) **Education and Experience**: - Post-secondary education in the field of Finance. Areas of Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related program is an asset - 1 - 2 years proven experience in data analytics and data management - Problem solving and analytical skills, with ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple objectives - Ability to solve technical problems and improve processes - Ability to increase process efficiency and generate high-quality technical solutions - Interpersonal and verbal communication skills - Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions - Experience with ETL Tools such as KNIME, Alteryx - Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik - Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint - Strong knowledge of statistical tools - Desire to work in a hands-on team environment - Experience in CA PPM tool is an asset Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
