**The Opportunity**:
At WSP our Technology team are providing Security, IT and AV systems to position WSP as a leader in the market. We're looking for a Security Consultant to join the GTA Technology team and to be located at our Thornhill office or another office. Reporting to the Manager of Technology you will oversee large security projects throughout the region.

**A day in the life**:

- You'll perform Physical Security Audits and Assessments;
- Perform Advisory Services for both physical security and security systems;
- You'll be responsible for Technical security systems design (video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, duress, real-time locating and the integration and networking of these systems);
- You'll do: Security Systems Studies, Concept Design Narratives, Schematic Design, Detailed Design, Construction Documents, Tender Review, Project Management, Construction Administration and Project Closeout.
- You'll write brief’s, reports, specifications and proposals
- You'll conduct workshops and presentations both throughout the coarse of the project and in an effort to secure new business
- You will always ensure health and safety policies are followed at all sites and take WSP's Life Saving rules to heart;
**We'd love to hear from you if you have...**
- You'll have at minimum, 3 years of experience in a security consultancy
- Demonstrable experience managing large security projects
- Must have some knowledge in preperation of proposals and bids, and understand project finance.
- Ability to obtain a Public Works and Government Services Canada Level 2 security clearance and work in a secure environment.
- Must be willing to travel periodically and as required for project assignments.
- Must hold valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle; travel to sites throughout the GTA & SWO required.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

- Experience with Threat Risk Assessments and Physical Security is an asset
- Experience in networking preferred
- BA/BSc in a security or risk related discipline preferred but not required
