**This is a Hybrid role with a mixture of work from Thales office, customer site(s), and from home.**

Thales is looking for a **Portfolio Manager (PM) **who will play an integral role, responsible for interfacing with the customer to influence the long-term portfolio vision and support the shaping of task orders. The role will demand an individual with highly developed communication and influencing skills and an equal depth of domain experience that can ensure Thales delivers the portfolio to the satisfaction of the customer. The ability to lead and motivate a team and interface with partners and customers will be key to the success of the PM and the execution of the portfolio.

The PM will produce detailed resource plans and regular status reports for the partners/customers and Thales internal management. The PM will engage with various stakeholders within the Thales matrix organization and within the customer community on the portfolio.

**Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility**

The Portfolio Manager will be required to:

- Plan, organize, lead and control the area and staff assigned to achieve outcomes within the delegated authorities and responsibilities for the portfolio assigned.
- Establish and control the portfolio business rhythm and governance for the overall portfolio.
- Accountability for financial objectives of the portfolio and the customer commitments.
- Oversee achievement of portfolio performance objectives.
- Identify support and resources needed to achieve the project objectives with input of the Resource Managers and key stakeholders.
- Accountable to manage all customer/stakeholder/partner relationships to ensure portfolio objectives are achieved.
- Lead and motivate a cross-disciplinary team by providing the appropriate direction, support and delegation to team members.
- Support strategic objectives and vision by leveraging the customer relationships and management of the portfolio.
- Other duties as required.

**Minimum Requirements: Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language**
- Bachelor Degree in a relevant field or relevant proven experience.
- Operational experience using military C4ISR.
- Possess demonstrated experience in the defence sector for at least 12 years.
- Minimum 5-10 years of management experience.
- Strong business acumen.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and analytical abilities.
- A proven ability to lead and influence stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
- A positive and energized attitude.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Knowledge and understanding of the Defence Sector.
- Experience working in a complex, multi-site organization.
- Fluent communications skills in both official languages (French & English) would be considered an asset.
