As **Lead Hand, Warehouse**, your responsibilities will include assigning daily tasks to Warehouse Associates, maintaining accurate inventory counts, supporting incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety and quality standards. You’ll work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics Coordinator to keep things running efficiently and support continuous improvement initiatives across the warehouse.

**More about your responsibilities**:

- **Daily Leadership & Coordination**: Assign, monitor, and support the daily activities of Warehouse Associates to ensure productivity, accuracy, and safety throughout all shifts.
- **Inventory Control**: Lead daily inventory section counts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain precise tracking of all stock, ensuring accurate location of skids and materials.
- **Shipping & Receiving**: Assist in and oversee receiving, shipping, and material handling tasks, ensuring proper documentation, labeling, and timely processing of returns.
- **System & Process Management**: Utilize ERP systems such as SAP or WMS to streamline warehouse operations and support effective materials movement and order fulfillment.
- **Compliance & Quality**: Ensure all warehouse operations meet internal policies, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards—including GMP where applicable.
- **Training & Safety**: Train team members on warehouse procedures, monitor safe work practices, conduct regular safety audits, and maintain all safety equipment in working order.
- **Communication & Coordination**: Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales, Transportation, and other internal teams to resolve issues, avoid delays, and enhance service levels.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify and implement opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve team performance, supporting broader warehouse initiatives.
- **Site Flexibility**: Support offsite warehouse operations when needed to ensure seamless logistics across locations.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Forklift Certification is an asset
- 3-5 plus years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Experience with ERP/WMS/ SAP systems
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures, inventory control, and shipping/receiving practices
- Proficiency in using basic computer programs (Excel and Word)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced setting
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Experience within a pharmaceutical or food environment
- Understanding/familiarity of cGMP
- Experience within a regulated environment packaging/food/pharmaceutical (FDA, Health Canada)
