**About the position**:
This position is ideal for familiarizing with the various aspects of accounting in a large company, as well as with cutting-edge technologies (SAP Invoice Management by OpenText) that promote a paperless environment.

**Responsabilities**:

- Validate the information on supplier invoices received in the Kofax and SAP systems.
- Ensure proper processing of input tax credits (GST / HST / QST), including exceptions applicable to large businesses.
- Match invoices with purchase orders to the appropriate items on the purchase order.
- Ensure that invoices are sent to the appropriate individuals for approval and that Valero's authority limits are respected.
- Code invoices according to established standards.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
- Valero Energy Inc. is governed by the Charter of the French language. A functional knowledge of English is not a requirement but is an asset when it comes to performing the duties of this position. The incumbent may be called upon to refer to documents and interact with colleagues in other Canadian provinces or with English-speaking suppliers._

**Qualifications**
- Student enrolled in a vocational diploma (DEP), college, or undergraduate program in accounting or administration.
- Good knowledge of Outlook and Excel; knowledge of accounting software is an asset.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate fluently in French and English (spoken and written).
- Previous experience in accounting is an asset.
