** **ensure Hotel Contracts, Rate Revisions, Destination Transfers and Excursions are processed accurately and in a timely manner. The Product Specialist is also responsible to communicate updates, changes to hotel information internally for customer advisement and for updates to the WEB/hotel pages according to deadlines. The position reports to the Director, Product Support, and will be located in Toronto, ON.

**What You’ll Do**:

- _ Assist the Director/Buyers with the overall management and implementation of contracts_
- _ Mange accuracy of contracts, and any changes _
- _Review rates and mange promotional rate updates _
- _Input and manage contracts within contracting system and all correspondence from hotels_
- _ Completion and follow up of hotel contracts and details_
- _ Maintain all contracts and correspondence from hotels in the internal drive_
- _ Responsible for the completion of contracts (promo rooms, Marketing, rep rooms, specialty packages, group promotions, staff travel, terms and conditions, deposits, guarantees, payment terms, and all information in relation to contracts)_
- _ Ensure reductions/promotions are aggressive, if not, bring to the Director’s attention for further direction_
- _ Review hotel reduction entered by suppliers _
- _Assist in matters related to negotiations, reductions, and promotions_
- _ Weekly meetings with Director and Buyers to review sales and develop weekly strategy (review any rate reduction charts, promotions being pursued, master product plan updating as well as any additional charts deemed relevant)_
- _ Review and analyze relevant reports _
- _Review risk production to ensure target numbers are being met._
- _ Review and analyze empty seats report with Destination Team, identify problem areas and courses of action_
- _ Daily review of sales for hotel contracts, specifically risk hotel contracts_
- _ Assist the Director with trade show meeting plans and report_s_
- _ Manage internal department support and collaborate with external supplier _
- _Assist with bumping’s and the negotiation of appropriate compensation _
- _Liaise with other departments and process information as related to the Product Department_
- _ Maintain a good and constant relationship/communication internally and with suppliers_
- _ Provide hotel content web update for Sunwing.ca_

**What You’ll Need**:

- _
One (1) to three (3) years of work-related experience_
- _ Spanish is an asset_
- _ Post-secondary education _in Travel and Tourism or a related field _
- _Travel and Tourism Certificate _
- _TICO Regulations _
- _Strong use of office technology (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, teams etc.)_
- _ Very detail-oriented, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines_
- _ Exceptional problem-solving skills_
- _ Able to follow company’s policy and procedures, as well as understanding of the organizational structures and functional responsibilities relevant to the area of responsibility_
- _ Travel as required_
