Production Technician

**Job Overview**:
The Production Technician is responsible for ensuring the equipment is operated safely and correctly by utilizing HMI screens on the equipment while also providing direction, guidance and assisting employees in their new roles on the production line. The position will ensure that equipment is operated within process specifications and that safety, quality and production goals/standards are being attained.

**Shift Available**:

- Day Shift: 6:45am - 3:00pm
- Afternoon Shift: 2:45am
- 11:00pm
**Location**:

- IM2 Facility - 735 Intermodal Dr., Brampton, ON
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Train employees to efficiently perform job functions as per SOP, assess and evaluate training verification
- When necessary, make machine adjustments to resolve line issues (i.e. lights, alarms, visual indicators) and support maintenance in minor troubleshooting for any deviations to the asset center lining
- Ensure the production standards are met or take necessary steps to meet standards to ensure maximum efficiency
- Set up and prepare equipment and ensure the machines are properly shut down after production
- Develop manufacturing and processing procedures and variables, set machines & equipment controls as per manufacturer's manuals, oversee production, and inspect processes
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in the change-over process, and set-up (assembly and disassembly), to meet and exceed established change-over time standards
- Perform sanitary actions to maintain housekeeping in and around the working area
- Responsible for maintaining work area is clean and free of hazards
- Follow company’s health and safety program, rules and procedures and work in compliance with health and safety-related legislation and codes
- Report all incidents, injuries, illnesses, and near misses to your supervisor

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a college diploma in a related technical program (minimum)
- Completion of a Technician Skills Enhancement program (preferred)
- Minimum 1 years’ previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Preferred experience in the food manufacturing industry

- Requirement to lift up to 25lbs and work in a repetitive motion
