**Job Summary**:
As a Winter Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as plows, loaders, skid steers, and salt spreaders to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and other designated areas. You will ensure that operations are performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and local regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate equipment such as snowplows, front-end loaders, skid steers, and salt spreaders for snow clearing and de-icing.
- Perform pre
- and post-operation inspections on equipment to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Respond promptly to snow and ice events, including during nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust operations to address changing circumstances effectively.
- Maintain clear and safe access to roads, parking lots, walkways, and entrances.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate efforts and address site-specific needs.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself, coworkers, and the public.
- Assist with general maintenance and upkeep of equipment during non-snow events.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience operating snow removal equipment or similar machinery is required.
- Valid driver’s license (Class DZ or AZ is an asset, if applicable).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and practices for winter operations.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and a strong commitment to teamwork.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
