**The Opportunity**:
We are seeking a Scale Operator and Service Administrator.

This person will be the first point of contact at our busy production yard, responsible for the accurate and complete data entry of all inbound container deliveries and shipments. In addition to duties related to running our scale, this person will generate scale report and complete various administrative tasks to support the Operations Site Manager, Operations Team and Accountant.

The shift is from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

**Responsibilities and Tasks**:

- Accurately weigh and enter scale account and weight information
- Maintain container loading photos
- Tracks and monitors all incoming containers for accurate invoicing
- Document control, data entry, and file maintenance
- Compile and submit end of day reports
- Building and updating spreadsheets as needed
- Assist with yard administrative processes and run reports as scheduled
- Assist with incident reporting and administration
- Communicate with yard staff
- Recording attendance of yard staff
- Liaise with equipment operators, Maintenance & Equipment Manager, and Accounting when necessary regarding any Yard, Inventory or Delivery concerns
- Maintains a clean and presentable office environment
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

**Qualifications**:

- Must be punctual and reliable (Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential job function)
- Experience with operating a scale is required
- Experience with shipping and receiving in a fast paced environment is an asset
- Experience in office administration is an asset
- Computer proficiency with competency in data entry and creating reports is required (MS Office software/MS Excel proficiency required)
- Ability to perform basic mathematics functions is required
- Ability to multitask, work independently and with a team, and under pressure is an asset
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills is an asset
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, customer haulers and container drivers, treating all courteously and respectfully
