**Summary**

AlignLife Chiropractic and Wellness is a NEW wellness clinic dedicated to providing whole body health that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit of our patients. As we grow we hope to have a team of Chiropractors, Clinical counselors, Kinesiologists, Physiotherapists, and Naturopaths. We are seeking a compassionate **Clinical Counselor** to join our collaborative environment and support our growing patient base through in-house referrals and administrative support.

We are offering an **Independent Contractor agreement** with a decided upon split in accordance with clinical experience and benefit to both practitioner and clinic. Contracts are specific to each practitioner and we are open to discussing your needs/wants.

As a **Clinical Counselor**, you will be instrumental in providing compassionate patient care and effective case management to individuals or couples in our Wellness clinic. Your core skills will enable you to assess and address the emotional and psychological needs of patients. With premium experience in areas of mental health and research, you will contribute to evidence-based practices while utilizing relevant skills in medical terminology and special education. **Job responsibilities**
- Interview clients, prepare case histories and assess problems
- Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining goals and means of attaining them
- Counsel clients, provide therapy, and facilitate group sessions
- Provide referrals when needed and appropriate
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling programs and interventions, and clients' progress in resolving identified problems and movement toward defined objectives
- Follow up on results of counselling programs and clients' adjustments
- Prepare assessment, progress, follow-up

**Qualifications**
- Master's Degree
- Strong patient care and case management skills
- Experience working with diverse individuals
- Familiarity working with other professionals in a clinic setting
- Proficient in data collection and understanding medical terminology
- Research experience related to clinical counseling practices

**Job Type**: Freelance

Pay: $100.00-$150.00 per hour
