**The opportunity**
An exciting opportunity exists in our Asset Integrity department within the Metals division for a Rotating Equipment Specialist located in Fort Saskatchewan. The purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise to identify and address safety, reliability, maintainability, and operational issues related to rotating equipment, ensuring their safe, reliable, and efficient operation

**In this role, you will be accountable for**:
- Ensuring adherence to reliability engineering standards (ISO5500x, ISO14224) and regulatory requirements.
- Fostering effective communication and collaborating with key departments, plant personnel, and stakeholders.
- Implementing and optimizing asset integrity-reliability processes to enhance production reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Identifying and mitigating equipment threats, developing solutions, and supporting execution, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure investigations.
- Analyzing CBM data, recommending performance improvements, and supporting preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Leading or supporting equipment health monitoring projects, optimizing maintenance strategies, and reducing lifecycle costs and downtime.
- Providing technical assurance, supporting rotating equipment-related outages, ensuring repair integrity, and updating installation guidelines (API-686).
- Overseeing quality assurance for new builds and modifications, ensuring adherence to functional specifications.
**Skills and attributes for success**:
- Certified Journeyperson, CET, or P.Eng. with 5+ years of refinery experience, particularly with diagnosing rotating equipment issues.
- Experience with developing and maintaining precision maintenance manuals for rotating equipment.
- Category I or II Vibration Analysis Certification
- Other recognized certifications in condition monitoring techniques, such as Machinery Lubrication Analyst, Infrared Analysis, and/or Ultrasound.
- Strong technical writing and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
