Agriculture Summer Intern

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Crop Scouting**:

- Regularly monitor client fields to identify weed, pest, and disease pressures.
- Provide timely and accurate reports to agronomists and farmers.
- Assist in crop growth stage assessment and data collection for precision agriculture solutions.

**Yard Duties**:

- Manage and organize inventory, including seed, fertilizer, and chemical products.
- Assist in loading and unloading of products for customer orders.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist in the bagging and toting of fertilizer and seed.

**Customer Service**:

- Provide exceptional service to customers visiting the yard.
- Answer customer queries and guide them in product selection.
- Support the sales team with product knowledge and availability.
- Participate in delivery or products between locations and from an Alliance location to the customer.

**General Support**:

- Assist with various tasks as needed to support the overall operations of the retail location.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance agricultural knowledge and skills.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an agricultural or related program. - Strong interest in agriculture, particularly crop science and agronomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to different locations as needed.
- Excellent face to face, phone, and digital, communication skills
- Ability to work independently. - Strong time management skills.
- Able to use technology to assist in daily activities.
- Periodic overtime will be required. The occasional Saturday during busy season.
- Clean and confident G Class driver’s license.
- Basic knowledge of Corn, Soybeans and Wheat crop production.

**Job Types**: Seasonal, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 60 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
