- Checks forklifts for proper performance and inspects equipment to detect faults and malfunctions on Caterpillar, Jungheinrich, Mitsubishi, Kalmar, Manitou, Toyota, Raymond et Hyster models.
- Diagnoses faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
- Adjusts equipment and repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems.
- Tests repaired equipment for proper performance and ensures that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
- Cleans, lubricates and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment.- Job Qualifications:
- Diploma of Vocational Studies in autombile mechanic or diploma of collegial studies in auotmated systems lectromachanic combined with a minimum of 5 years experience in lift truck maintenance
- Knowledge of AC and DC power systems
- Bilingualism (written and spoken)
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, drawings and technical bulletins
- Safety-minded with demonstrated knowledge of health & safety policies, practices and procedures
- Knowledge of MS Office software, SAP and diagnostic tools
