**Tundra has an opportunity for a Mechanical Crew Dispatcher **based out of** Virden, MB or Estevan, SK.**
This position is responsible for coordinating and managing the activities of mechanical service crews to ensure the effective and timely support of operational goals. By organizing crew activities, the dispatcher helps meet both short
- and long-term objectives in productivity, safety, and equipment functionality.
**Reporting to the Surface Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Crew Dispatcher is responsible for**:
- Assigning and dispatching mechanical crews to perform repairs and maintenance that add value to operational efficiency.
- Ensuring crews are effectively completing tasks that contribute to the smooth operation and reliability of equipment.
- Monitoring and tracking costs associated with mechanical crew activities, ensuring budget alignment.
- Reporting on cost efficiency and providing insights into areas where cost reductions or optimizations can be made across Tundra.
- Actively encouraging and enforcing Tundra’s strong commitment to HSE practices.
- Ensuring that crews are working in compliance with all safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Supporting ongoing safety training and promoting a culture of proactive safety awareness.
- Aligning crew activities with operational goals and priorities, ensuring maintenance and repairs are completed on time.
- Responding to emergencies or urgent issues, dispatching crews as needed to minimize downtime.
- Acting as a point of contact between operations, mechanical crews, and management.
- Maintaining clear communication channels for reporting progress, delays, or issues.
- Tracking and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of mechanical crew work.
- Providing feedback and guidance to crews to improve performance and align with operational goals.
- Grade 12 Diploma is required.
- A minimum of two years of general oilfield experience is required to ensure a solid understanding of the industry’s operations, challenges, and safety standards.
- Prior experience in directing mechanical crew work is an asset, providing the ability to effectively assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with mechanical systems, maintenance, or repair operations is essential for communicating task requirements and coordinating the work efficiently.
- Experience in tracking and managing costs related to labor, equipment, and mechanical maintenance tasks, with a focus on cost efficiency across projects.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, with experience actively promoting safety culture in an industrial or oilfield environment.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate between mechanical crews, management, and operations teams, ensuring that directives and updates are clearly communicated.
- Experience maintaining accurate records of work orders, costs, crew schedules, and performance metrics to support reporting and accountability.
