Taper/gluer Operator

Understand production specifications and the ability to read imperial measurements
- Understand computer data entry to maintain activity logs
- Abide by health and safety policies and procedures
- Visually inspect the order to the specification and ensure the correct order is located in front of the machine
- Perform regular maintenance activities to machine
- Discuss all discrepancies with supervisors
- Ability to train future trainer/gluer operators
- In-process inspection and final inspection
- Watch inventory of tape/gluer supplies
- Pre-fold sheets and prepare bundling table as necessary
- Assisting in the setup of and running of corrugated machinery
- Troubleshoot issues and make adjustments
- Identify areas of opportunity for maximizing efficiency
- Corrugated industry experience is a definite asset
- Fluent English skills - both verbal and written
- Flexibility to work any assigned shift in a 24/7 environment
- Able to multi-task and able to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
- Must have mechanical inclination
- Must have good math skills and be able to work with fractions

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

- St. Thomas, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Machine Operator: 2 years (preferred)
- Machine Operators: 2 years (preferred)
